Kale, beet, feta, lemon—deliciously beautiful design inspiration.
Who knew your lunch could be your next color muse? This summer, we’re taking our cue from the most underrated design consultant of all: the salad bowl. Yes, you heard that right. Move over Pinterest—make room for arugula.

Think of a fresh summer salad: vibrant green kale, ruby red beets, creamy white feta, sunshine-bright lemon slices. Now imagine those colors on your sofa cushions, area rugs, or tiled backsplash. Suddenly, you’ve got a space that doesn’t just feel fresh—it looks it.
The key is in the layering. A salad (like a good room) thrives on balance and contrast. Mix cool tones with warmth: pair olive green cabinetry with brushed gold hardware, or lavender walls with creamy white linen drapes. Beets and goat cheese don’t just taste good together—they look stunning side by side.

Let textures inspire you too. The crispness of romaine can translate into breezy cotton curtains. A glossy cherry tomato? Think lacquered side tables. Even the matte softness of avocado can lead you to plush suede throws or muted ceramic planters.

Color combos we’re loving straight from the garden:
Beet red + sage green + cream: Rich, earthy, and unexpectedly modern.
Cucumber green + lemon yellow + white: Crisp and cheerful with Mediterranean vibes.
Carrot orange + deep purple cabbage + flax: Bold, funky, and very much 2025.
Bonus: It’s a great excuse to decorate and eat clean.

So next time you’re building a salad, don’t just consider how it tastes—ask yourself: could this be a moodboard? (And if the answer is yes, well, that’s what we call delicious design.)
